This semi-automatic printer is intended for solder paste application through a stencil on PCB surface and works as stand alone device at SMT-productions.

PCB loading in the printer is executed manually. PCB clamping on printing table carried out by means of pneumatic clips. After that, all operations are running automatically.

This printer is equipped with high resolution vision system. Alignment of PCB and stencil is executed automatically.

Start of printing process is carried out by a foot switch (pedal). This allows to release the operator's hands for performance of operations for PCB setup.

This printer is supplied with high resolution vision system. PCB and stencil alignment executed by completely automated high precision system.

2D - inspection option can be used for inspection of printing quality after solder paste application on contact pads of PCB. The option helps to recognize lack of solder paste and also "short circuits" between contact pads. Processed data is automatically used for stencil cleaning cycle starting.

The printer is equipped with programmable multipurpose stencil cleaning. The combination of dry and wet cleaning, with use of vacuum or without, or with collecting paste at the end of squeegee pass.

The user interface is completely based of the touch screen technology, therefore using of traditional keyboard and mouse isn't required. Language of user interface can be selected by the user. Now choice of following languages is available: Russian, English, German, Spanish. Another languages can be added on request.

DIAL-Company offers stencil printers “BURAN”. These machines (manual, semiautomatic and automatic) are for the process of depositing solder paste on the printed wiring boards (PWBs) in small and high volume manufacturing.

Automatic stencil printing

The process begins with loading the stencil into the printer. The pneumatic system of stencil tension from DIAL aligns the stencil to the substrate with accuracy. It helps to avoid an unequal application of the solder paste and prevent solder-balling when the paste is deposited beyond the edge of the board. Such situation can cause a short circuit or damage of the printed wiring boards.

Then the board is loaded into the conveyor. The loading arts can differ: manual or automatic. If it’s automatic, the board will be input from the previous machine. If it’s manual, a control engineer will do it in own hand. Loading and unloading side is controlled by a special program. Such opportunity lets use stencil printers for high-, medium- and small-volume manufacturing.

When the board has aligned the stencil, the solder paste is deposited by stainless steel blades (attack angle – 65°), that are easy-to-use under the small components and don’t “pull-out” the solder paste from apertures. Both blade pressure and print-head control guarantee high quality and equal application of the solder paste. When the pressure is correctly adjusted, the stencil will be clean.

The next step is PCB separation. Speed is chosen experimentally, it depends on components setting: the more is the setting, the more is the separation speed.

At the order of 2-D inspection for stencil printers from DIAL inspection system measures the amount of paste covering the board and verifies the stencil aperture cleanness.

Stencil printers are equipped with software SmartPrint. Touch-interface makes printer manipulating easier and easy-to-use.

This semi-automatic printer is intended for solder paste application through a stencil on PCB surface and works as stand alone device at SMT-productions.

PCB loading in the printer is executed manually. PCB clamping on printing table carried out by means of pneumatic clips. After that, all operations are running automatically.

This printer is equipped with high resolution vision system. Alignment of PCB and stencil is executed automatically.

Start of printing process is carried out by a foot switch (pedal). This allows to release the operator's hands for performance of operations for PCB setup.

The user interface is completely based of the touch screen technology, therefore using of traditional keyboard and mouse isn't required. Language of user interface can be selected by the user. 2D-inspectionThis option is intended for printing quality evaluation. Information about short circuits and quantity of solder paste on the contact pads are displayed on the printer's monitor. The defected area is indicated with the red color.

active-clean.pngThis option allows to move a roll of the cleaning paper in all directions with vibration. That feature considerably increases efficiency of stencil cleaning.

active-chistka.pngThis option allows to carry out cleaning of the stencil's bottom side. The operator can set one of the cleaning modes (dry, vacuum, wet) or their combination. Also, it is possible to change cycle repetition of cleaning operation.

Vision System2 CCD cameras for PCB and stencil fiducials recognition.

Start menu after system loading (program start). Touchscreen monitor excludes necessity of keyboard and mouse using. The main operations can be called by the buttons located on the right side of the main menu.

Reference function is started in this menu. Before printing process start, machine automatically executes self-diagnostics and calibration.

Program loading menu. The scanned image saved in the program and visible before program loading. This feature allows to load program not only by the name, but also by the pressing on the picture;

PCB loading menu. Universal pneumatic clamping mechanism allows to fix wide range of PCBs. Each side of clamping can be set as movable, second side always fixed

Stencil setup and alignment menu. Universal fixture allows to use stencils from 350х350 mm up to 740х740 mm

Program creation and loading are simple thanks to special “master”. The most of operations are automated. User has to insert only PCB dimensions and fiducial coordinates

Fiducial 1 position. Fiducial selecting can be executed by marking it’s position on PCB image. Automatic fiducial searching also possible

Electronic operating system helps to realize mode “closed camera for solder paste”. It means that solder paste can be kept between two squeegees in down position. This mode reduces solder paste drying and provides good quality printing during long time

Tab «cleaning» helps to adjust every step of stencil cleaning algorithm. User can set. different cleaning combinations: dry-wet, with vacuum-without vacuum, with vibration-without vibration. Also possible to activate mode for solder paste collecting after cleaning mode finishing.
