New options of the "DIAL" company for the manufactured equipment

We have repeatedly informed you that all of the equipment produced by "DIAL" has it's own software. In this news we will talk about another novelty software.

So the option BS03022 – the speeds' synchronization of the furnace conveyors and adjacent, that is previous and subsequent devices in the automated SMT line of mounting. The production lines of surface mounting is one of the main nomenclatures of the technological chain - a reflow oven, conveyor speed which can vary very widely depending on the specific of the product. This "variability" creates some problems for the adjacent elements associated with line cards between devices. Generally, for reliable transmission of printed circuit boards (PCB) is necessary that the pipelines' speeds of the previous and subsequent devices were identical. Almost all machines automated SMT-line allows you to configure this option. All except the furnace.

In practice the pipeline speed on an output of the furnace is set up under a maximum speed of the conveyor oven (or maximum of this specific production). It is obvious that working at such high speed everything is good. However, with a decrease in the speed of the conveyor oven, the conveyor tape of output device "slides" while most of the PCB will not appear on this unit. A lack of such approach, in addition to "slip", is the increased time of determination of "jamming" of the printed circuit board. The possibility of operational setup of the speed of the the conveyor device after the oven synchronously with the conveyor device' speed allows to get rid of all these shortcomings.

For the input devices, facing the furnace, the problem is even more acute. If the conveyor's speed of the input device is equal to the maximum oven's speed, that at low speeds the input device "showers" a board in the furnace at the expense of the high speed that leads to reducing of an interval between boards. Reducing the interval itself bad: thermal "load" on the furnace increases, as a result the temperature in a tunnel of the furnace "sinks" more considerably that, certainly, reduces quality of flow.

In practice "gap" between boards should make certain "size" which depends on many parameters such as complexity of a product and opportunities of the furnace. Support of this "gap" is usually tracked by the furnace. Besides, "throw" of the board leads to incorrect computation of the furnace' length by the board, and also to the difficulty of the boards' unloading from the furnace (if directly behind the furnace there is a discharger) as the discharger can not manage "to jostle" a board in the holder because of reducing of an interval between boards. Often, if the speed of the conveyor input device is high in comparison with the pipeline of the furnace there is a reducing of "gap" generally to zero, even reaches shocks of a board about a board.

To reduce the influence of these factors the speed of the input device's conveyor doing equal the lowest speed of the furnace conveyor. However, though it also relieves of the listed above problems, but leads to sliping of conveyor's tapes by transmission of boards that besides gives incorrect computation by the board length furnace. Finally "gaps" between boards increase on comparing with standard value, and this leads to decline in production which the is more, than more difference between speeds of the input device's conveyors and furnace.

The above-described situations, electronics manufacturers decide differently, who is a "sacrificing" performance, and some "sacrificing" industrial areas and applies in such cases special buffer devices that are not very cheap. Any decision - is losing money!

However, there is completely different solution - equipping of input and output devices by means of rapid adjustment rate. Software developers "DIAL" successfully tested a comprehensive solution of this problem, which consists in the automatic synchronization conveyor speed at the inlet and outlet of the furnace with the speed of the conveyor of the furnace itself. The essence of the mechanism is that the conveyor speed of the transfer board in / from the oven changing automatically when the oven conveyor speed is changing. Thus, the operator is relieved of the need to monitor the neighboring devices, which eliminates the "human factor". Technically, the solution is to install a special software and hardware additions to the neighboring furnace device.
