The system of archiving and statistics collection of ETNA B221-AC533 and B221-АС421

It is known that in a surface-mounted line, a convection fusion Oven is the largest consumer of energy. Therefore, inefficient use of the Oven leads to direct losses, expressed in payment for electricity consumed by it. Increasing the efficiency of the Oven is provided mainly by organizational measures, such as:
- Reduced downtime before starting work
- Reduced downtime after completion of work
- Reduced downtime when changing products

The most important element in planning measures for the effective use of the Oven, as well as for evaluating their application, is the system of archiving and collecting statistics.

Since March 2017, Group of Companies "DIAL" offers the option of "subsystem of archiving and collection of statistics" as a part of its software.

The subsystem of archiving and statistics gathering is intended for viewing, analyzing the state and operation of the Oven at some point in time in the past. Principle of operation: during operation of the Oven, parameters that are of value to the user are recorded. In the archive view mode, this data is used to display the Oven status. The selection of the displayed time point is carried out using the time band.

- display of the current state of the Oven at a certain moment in time - temperature in zones, conveyor speed, presence of PCBs on the conveyor and other parameters
- animation playback based on historical data with acceleration up to 200 times
- display of temperature change graphs in zones by time
- counting the number of soldered PCBs in accordance with thePCB name, profile, processing date
- viewing the schedule of passage of the PCB along the Oven, which is the individual profile of soldering a particular PCB

With the help of the information placed in the archives, it is possible to draw a conclusion about the coefficient of useful use of the Oven, to detect downtime, and by conducting additional surveys of employees, to find out the reasons for unjustified idle time and to formulate measures to minimize them. All this finally makes it possible to significantly improve the efficiency of using the Oven.

In addition to the coefficient of useful use, the archives make it possible to obtain documentary evidence of the conformity (or inconsistency) of the actual technological process of soldering to a given one. Such confirmation can be obtained up to each specific instance of PCB.

The subsystem of archiving and data collection is fully integrated into the Oven software. This subsystem constantly works while the Oven is turned on and records the information on disk. The ability to disable recording of archives is not specifically provided. Therefore, the operator will not be able to hide the traces of his sloppiness. From the disk archives can be copied to any removable media or over a network. The capacity of modern hard drives allows you to accumulate information for decades.

Viewing archives and statistics can be done directly from the Oven control program. For this, two buttons "Archive" and "Viewing Statistics" are provided.

To enter the archive viewing mode, use the "Archive" button.


When you click on the "Archive" button, the client is prompted to select a specific archive that you want to view, then the archive is downloaded and displayed as an animation.


1 - animation playback. When this button is pressed, the state of the oven will be animated. When the button is pressed again, the animation stops
2 - backward step - go to the previous recorded time point
3 - reduce the speed of animation playback
4 - step forward - go to the next recorded time point
5 - increase the speed of animation playback
6 - slider, displaying the position of the current moment in time. When you move the slider manually, the image is updated to match the selected point in time.

To view the graph of the temperature change in the zones, use the "Timeline" button. When it is pressed, the temperature dependence of the upper and lower heating zones versus time is constructed.


By clicking on the legend elements of the graph on the left, it is possible to disable / enable the display of the corresponding temperature.To zoom the image, tap and drag in the graphics area. To return to the previous scale, use the "Zoom out" button.   To return to the original scale, use the "Reset zoom" button.


To go to the PCB statistics mode, you need to click the "View Statistics" button on the main screen of the oven program.

When you press it, you have the choice: view statistics on the current computer or export files to a USB drive for later viewing of statistics using the EtnaRemoteViewer application.

When you select the "View" option, the window for selecting the time period of interest is displayed.


When you select the start and end date and press the "Select" button, the list of PCBs is loaded. For each PCB of the list , you can view the individual solder profile. Therefore, if the PCBs are numbered, it is very easy to understand the history of each PCB.


The left part of the screen shows a list of cards processed for the selected period. When you select PCB in the list on the right side of the screen, the graph of its passage is displayed: the black line indicates the position of the PCB on the conveyor, the colored lines show the temperatures in the zones. When you click on the legend elements of the graph, the corresponding lines below are hidden or displayed.

At the top of the screen are the filter fields by the name of the board (1), by the name of the profile (2), by the processing date (3). Below the fields are lists of options that are present in this sample. The numbers in the list elements are the number of PCBs and their percentage of the total number of PCBs in the sample. When selecting items from the lists, the PCBs corresponding to the selected items are displayed. So, in the above screenshot, the PCBs with the name "round metal", processed on March 17, 2017 with the profile Test 120-260, are displayed. Input fields (1, 2, 3) are used to search for items in the corresponding lists. If no items are selected in the lists, all the PCBs in the selection are displayed.
